Design Center Santa Fe

Opening in 1986, the Design Center in Santa Fe, New Mexico was billed as a "festival marketplace" and was known as Las Tres Gentes. It was housed in the former Santa Fe Motor Company building, distinguished by its crisscrossing steel beams and a broad central hallway with shops on either side and with more shops on either side of a second floor atrium. Twenty-five years later, the concept is much the same. Shops offer folk art, antiques, contemporary art, gifts, furniture, lighting, flowers, eyeglasses, and design services of several kinds. There are also several fine local restaurants in the Design Center.

The Design Center, 418 Cerrillos Road, is one block east
of the Railyard train station.
